I had a fun trip to St. Charles to go to the TNNA market there at the Embassy Suites. It is a nice place to have a market – vendors are in hotel rooms with their signs hanging on the railings so you can see who is where. Then we go up and down in the elevator to one floor and then another viewing and buying new product.
I am unpacking the suitcase full and getting them priced so they can jump onto the new table and pattern box. A couple of limited edition things I can mention are Forget-me-not Sampler designed by Brenda Gervais and Hoot, a biscornu and fob kit from Lizzie Kate and Summer Faire and Fall Whimsies small pillows from Cherished Stitches. Some other items include new needlepoint canvases from Heartstrings, Mile High Princess, Kathy Schnekel, Danji Designs, several new Shepherd’s Bush kits, tee shirts and sleep shirts with the message eat, sleep, stitch or quilt or crochet or knit. We will order size, color and saying of your choice. DebBee’s Designs newest canvas patterns and thread packs from Treenway for them will be on the way soon. We picked up some patterns from a fairly new designer Brenda Riddle that does quilting, embroidery and cross stitch. New colors of overdyed threads are on their way from The Gentle Art and Weeks Dye Works – just when you thought they had all the colors in the world!
We have also arranged trunk shows for 2014 from Erica Michaels (silk gauze), Fern Ridge (beaded scissor fobs and matching needlecases), and Threedles (canvas). Watch for more details after the first of the year on dates.
