Periwinkle Promises – Acorns All Around Sampler – Last one!

Description

This pattern is a lovely sampler designed by Barbara Rakosnik with excellent diagrams for the specialty stitches included. The model was worked on 28 count linen (119 x 151 stitches) with silk floss but DMC and Anchor floss substitute numbers are also listed. The verse says “Nothing is as strong as gentleness, or as gentle as strength.”  Motifs include hearts, acorns, flowers, leaves and blackwork. A fun and learning piece if you are ready to progress beyond simply cross stitches. Last one!
